I hold a Master's and PhD in Counseling Psychology, and I am dually licensed as a Psychologist (LP) and Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Additionally, I have certifications as an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and Supervisor Mentor, Certified Career Counselor (CCC), and EMDRIA-Approved EMDR Therapist. As the owner and therapist of Life Directions Counseling, PLLC, and a former university professor of psychology and marriage and family therapy, I bring a wealth of expertise to my practice. Supporting individuals on their healing journey and mentoring aspiring professionals has been incredibly fulfilling for me.

I am the author of Helping Skills Training for Nonprofessional Counselors and 101 Career Myths Debunked: The Ultimate Career Planning Workbook. I have been honored with several teaching awards, including Whitworth’s Most Influential Professor Award for seven years, and Washington Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Educator of the Year Award.
